. Fall 2009 . US Primetimes, providing sportsmen with the information
they need to be consistently successful, has released the US Primetimes
website. Free and without requiring to sign up, this site allows
the sportsman to enter in any Zip Code, City and State, or Latitude/Longitude,
for any date, and receive location specific Solunar, Sun and Moon Tables
as well as the US Primetimes proprietary Success Forecast and interactive
graphical charts in order to be more successful in the field. Additional
location information is a click or two away including weather information
from the National Weather Service and NOAA, the Fish and Game websites,
and Google Maps.
Solunar theory
was developed by John Alden Knight in 1926 after he conducted a study
on fish and animal feeding habits as it related to the sun and moon.
It became clear that there were direct connections between behavior,
and the positions and events of the planets. Further university
studies also confirmed this relationship.
After being
extensively tested in the field hunting predators in Arizona, fishing
for the big ones in Montana, and setting up a high tech research hut
in the Helena National Forest, US Primetimes founder Mark T. Vitt was convinced
enough to build and launch this system all with private funding.
